John 12:12–26 (NASB95)

12 On the next day the large crowd who had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, 13 took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and began to shout, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel.” 14 Jesus, finding a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written, 15 “Fear not, daughter of Zion; behold, your King is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt.” 16 These things His disciples did not understand at the first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and that they had done these things to Him. 17 So the people, who were with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, continued to testify about Him. 18 For this reason also the people went and met Him, because they heard that He had performed this sign. 19 So the Pharisees said to one another, “You see that you are not doing any good; look, the world has gone after Him.” 20 Now there were some Greeks among those who were going up to worship at the feast; 21 these then came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and began to ask him, saying, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.” 22 Philip came and told Andrew; Andrew and Philip came and told Jesus. 23 And Jesus answered them, saying, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. 24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. 25 “He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal. 26 “If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

12-13.   Where was the large crowd from?  What did branches of the palm trees symbolize in ancient Greece?  Where else were palm trees prominently displayed in ancient Jerusalem (1 Kings 6:29, 32, 35; 7:36; 2 Chronicles 3:5)?  What does Deut 34:3 tells us about Jericho, the city that was the gateway to Jerusalem?  The crowd shouted out Psalm 118:25-26. Hosanna! “Hosanna” in Hebrew means “Please save” or “Save now”.  In saying that, how did the crowd see Jesus? 這許多人是從哪裡來的？ 棕櫚樹枝在古希臘象徵什麼？ 在古代耶路撒冷，還有什麼地方顯著地展示著棕櫚樹（列王紀上 6:29、32、35；7:36；代下 3:5）？ 《聖經》中如何形容耶利哥這座通往耶路撒冷的必經之路的城（《申命記》 34:3）？ 群眾高呼詩篇118:25-26。和散那！ 「Hosanna」 在希伯來文的意思是「請拯救」或「立即拯救」。 這些叫喊代表群眾是如何看耶穌的呢？

14-15.   Verse 15 is a LXX version of Zech 9:9, a prophecy of the Messiah.  What is the part that fulfills the prophecy?  第 15 節是撒迦利亞書 9:9 的七十士譯本，是有關彌賽亞的預言。 實現預言的部分是什麼？
